BTEC Open Day Taking Place This Saturday

Blackpool FC Community Trust will be running a BTEC Open Day at our Community Trust Office this Saturday.

The BTEC Open Day is an opportunity for potential students and parents to find out about our fantastic BTEC in Sport Level 1, 2 and 3 courses.

The Trust offer education programmes for students to become more employable through BTEC Level 1, 2 and 3 as well as Foundation Degree courses. In 2016/17, Blackpool FC Community Trust had 48 students enrolled on to our courses. The 48 students completed the year with 100% achievement on BTEC, with 94% reaching their targeted grades.

Our BTEC in Sport courses offers two different pathways for students –  Football Academy or Coaching Academy.

Senior Education Officer Mark Whalley, believes the BTEC in Sport courses available at Blackpool FC Community Trust provide a fantastic route for students who want to have a career in sports. “Our Sport courses offers the chance for students to study a wide range of sporting units which provides them with an insight to the careers available within the sporting industry. Alongside their studies, students can take part in two practical pathways – Football Academy, training three times a week and playing in competitive matches every Wednesday. Alternatively, students can take part on our Coaching Academy, for those wishing to pursue a career as a sports coach or as a P.E teacher.”
